Welcome to Aspen’s premier live music venue! The Belly Up, Aspen was opened by owner Michael Goldberg in January of 2005. Since then, The BUA has hosted many musical talents from around the world including: Ben Harper, B.B. King, Paul Oakenfold, Gov’t Mule, SEAL, ZZ Top, Xavier Rudd, Chris Isaak, Gomez, G Love, Blues Traveler, Steel Pulse, Method Man and Redman, John Legend, Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, Lucinda Williams, Snoop Dogg,Tiesto, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe Cocker, Wyclef Jean, Deep Dish (Dubfire + Sharam), Ice Cube, Jurassic 5 and many, many more. When are you open?
Belly Up box office is open 7 days a week from noon to end of show. If there is not a show, the box office typically closes at 6 PM. Feel free to call (970)544-9800 or check out our calendar, to confirm hours for that day. The club is open 7 days a week unless otherwise noted.

Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Yes! Gift Certificates are available at the box office!


What is your age policy?
Belly Up, Aspen is an All Ages club; however, all must provide a valid ID for entry. Those under the age of 16 must be with a parent or guardian. We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking and illegal substances. If you are caught drinking underage or with a fake ID, you will not be allowed back in the club until you are 21 or perform 10 hours of approved community service. If you provide alcohol to a minor, you will not be allowed back in the club.


How can I get tickets to Belly Up, Aspen shows?
Tickets are available at the main box office and by phone 7 days a week from Noon-close. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.bellyupaspen.com. There is a small convenience fee associated with phone orders and online tickets, however there are no fees if purchased at the box office.


What is seating like at the Belly Up, Aspen?
The Belly Up is a general admission venue with limited fixed seating. Seating is available on a “first-come, first-served” basis, unless you reserve a table by calling or stopping by the box office. There are shows that may have 2 price levels including reserved seating and general admission. If this is the case then we will guarantee you a seat in our reserved section if you purchase a reserved seat. You may not save seats in our General Admission section – they are first come, first serve. So, please make sure your entire party is present before finding a place to sit in GA.


How do I reserve a table during a general admission show?
You can reserve a table by contacting our box office There are a very limited amount of tables available and there is a $250 food/beverage minimum to reserve a table during a GA show. We do offer bottle service at these tables. Please note that an automatic 20% gratuity will be added on total amount consumed at reserved tables. Any additional gratuity is at the discretion of the Patron.



What time do doors open for a show?
We usually open doors 2 hours before the start of a show. Remember that’s a “usually,” not an “always.” Always check your ticket, our website, or call box office to confirm doors.


When do shows start?
Door and show times vary depending on the night’s line-up (how many opening acts there are, what day of the week it is, etc.). Check our website calendar or your ticket face to find the time for a particular show.


How many people can the Belly Up, Aspen hold?
The Belly Up, Aspen’s capacity is 450. This is for a general admission show with limited fixed seating.


Is the Belly Up, Aspen handicapped accessible?
Yes, the Belly Up, Aspen is a handicapped accessible facility. If you need special assistance please contact box office in advance or contact Kim at 970-544-8084.


Can people smoke cigarettes in the Belly Up, Aspen?
The Belly Up, Aspen is a smoke-free environment. We do allow those 21 and over to leave and re-enter the building to smoke. Please see our security for a stamp before exiting the venue to prevent any issues on re-entering. For those under 21, we are sorry, but for security reasons, we do not allow IN & OUT privileges.


Are food and beverages available at the Belly Up, Aspen?
Yes. Our kitchen offers handmade brick-oven pizza, hamburgers, veggie burgers, fish tacos and a variety of other bar food. The Belly Up also has two full bars for your enjoyment. We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking and illegal substances and we will prosecute violators to the full extent of the law. So if you are underage, enjoy your youth, the music and any number of non-alcoholic beverages.
If you, or someone in you’re party finds themselves slightly impaired due to the consumption of alcohol, the Belly Up participates in a free cab service called Tipsy Taxi. Just let a member of our staff know that you would like our assistance.


Is there an ATM located inside of the Belly Up, Aspen?
Yes, there is an ATM. It is across from the main bar. When you enter the front doors, the ATM is located left along the wall, just after the coat check room.


Do you have a coat check?
Coat Check is located by the main box office and entrance. Coat check is seasonal and only used during the winter months and during incliment weather for all other seasons.


Does the Belly Up, Aspen allow audio and video taping? What about cameras?
We do not allow video cameras. We do not allow audio taping unless the artist approves. We do not allow still cameras unless the artist approves, and when approved, flashes are not allowed as they distract the artists and disrupt other patrons’ experience.


What can’t you bring into the Belly Up, Aspen?
We do not allow back packs or other large bags. We do not allow: weapons, illegal substances, mace, food and alcohol. We want you to have an enjoyable evening. We take security very seriously. If you have any problems, please contact a member of our staff for assistance.
