  • About Belly Up Aspen

    Belly Up Aspen was opened by owner Michael Goldberg in January 2005, two years after his brother Steve acquired the original Belly Up in Solana Beach, CA. Continuing the tradition of a family run business, Michael now owns the club with two of his sons, David and Danny Goldberg.

    Listed as one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “BEST CLUBS IN AMERICA,” we are a 450-capacity music venue at the base of Aspen Mountain. Belly Up Aspen has featured talents such as LCD Soundsystem, The Killers, Widespread Panic, The Chainsmokers, Jack White, Dave Chappelle, Lil Wayne, The Avett Brothers, Joe Walsh, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Kacey Musgraves, B.B. King, Phoenix, Adam Sandler, Twenty One Pilots, The National, Kygo, Justice and Jimmy Buffett.

  • COVID Policy Per Pitkin County Public Health

    Due to the new Pitkin County Public Health mandate, in order to remain open at 100% capacity with no mask or social distancing requirements, all attendees must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the show date.

    Proof of vaccination is required for entry. Vaccination card originals, copies or photos and state verified apps are all valid forms of proof.

    Vaccination validation must match the attendees valid photo ID and include dates of vaccination

  • What is your policy on ticket limits and ticket resale?

    We impose ticket limits on all performances. Typically, our limits are a 2-ticket limit for GA OR a 6-ticket limit for RESERVED per customer, credit card or email address. Orders exceeding these limits, or any tickets purchased for resale, may have a portion or all of their orders cancelled without notice. Limits for each show are listed on the show purchase page.

  • Ticket Transfers

    Once you receive, you can follow the transfer process outlined below to transfer your tickets ONE TIME ONLY. 

    If you choose MOBILE WALLET DELIVERY – Tickets will be sent to the email that you used to purchase 24-hours prior to the show.  Once you receive, you can follow the transfer process outlined below:

    If your order contains multiple tickets, use the transfer feature to text message each pass to the relevant member of your party.  Ideally, each member of your party has their own ticket in their mobile device.  

    If you’ve already installed your pass:  

    ·         For Apple devices, click the three dots in the top right corner of the pass to flip to the “back of the pass.  Scroll down and click the “Manage/Transfer” link.  

    ·         For Android devices, open your pass and scroll to the bottom of the pass, and click the “Manage/Transfer” link.

    If you haven’t installed your pass: 

    ·         Click on the link in the ticket delivery email for each pass you wish to transfer

    Next, click the “Transfer Ticket” button.

    Enter the name and mobile # of your party member’s device.  Within a few moments, the transferee will receive a text message containing a link to click to accept the transfer, register the ticket and add to their own digital wallet.

  • MOBILE WALLET (Delayed Delivery) Tickets

    Select Mobile Wallet (Delayed Delivery)  as your shipping method at checkout, and your ticket(s) will be automatically emailed to you 24-hours prior to the show.  Once you receive the email, click on the links and register/add each ticket to the digital wallet on your mobile device. Our mobile ticketing technology does not utilize barcodes or QR codes. Your NFC ticket will be encrypted onto your mobile devices wallet and cannot be duplicated. 

  • When does your box office open?

    Our box office is open on show nights for tickets for that evening’s performance only. Tickets will be available for purchase upon entry to the show after that evening’s scheduled door time.

  • Abandoned credit cards + lost & found

    Abandoned credit cards or any lost and found items are available for pick up from our upstairs offices (directly above the venue) M-F between 10am-5pm. Cards will be destroyed if not retrieved within a few days.

  • What is your age policy?

    Please check each show to verify age policy. We have ALL AGES, 18+ or 21+ shows.

    A valid government issued photo ID is required for entry. For ALL AGES shows those under 18 must be with a parent or guardian who must remain on premise throughout the show. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to monitor and control the minors they accompany. We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking and illegal substances. If you are underage and caught drinking or using illegal substances or if you provide illegal substances to anyone, or alcohol to someone under 21 you will be turned over to the local authorities, your ticket will not be refunded and your attendance privileges to Belly Up will be revoked

  • What Constitutes a “Valid Photo ID?”

    • United States Driver’s License
    • United States Government ID
    • United States Military ID
    • Passport
  • I’m not from the United States… What if I don’t have a US Government Issued ID?

    The surest way to prove you are of legal drinking age/meet specific age restrictions is to bring your passport . There are some foreign drivers licenses the law permits us to accept, however, entry cannot be guaranteed. Foreign Identification Cards will not be accepted.

  • How can I get tickets to Belly Up Aspen shows?

    Tickets are always available online at www.bellyupaspen.com. Tickets can also be purchased at our box office during box office hours.  Please note that our high demand shows sell out quickly. We cannot guarantee that tickets will still be available when our box office opens.

    Be wary of buying tickets from any third party website. We can only guarantee tickets purchased through our box office and through bellyupaspen.com. Patrons purchasing tickets through third-party ticket brokers or individuals reselling their tickets, assume full risk for potentially fraudulent tickets purchased or obtained through unauthorized vendors. We have no way of validating or replacing tickets that were not purchased through us directly. We cannot reprint or refund you for an invalid ticket.

    Lost, torn, tampered or altered tickets or wristbands will not be honored.

  • What is seating like at the Belly Up Aspen?

    We are a general admission venue with an 80-person seated reserved section. When a show is GA only the entire room is first-come, first-served. Most of our shows have a GA ticket and a RESERVED ticket (which guarantees you a seat in the RES section). The reserved section consists of 11 tables (seating 4-6 people at each table) and railing seats on the second tier of the venue above the dance floor. There is also limited fixed seating that is available on a first-come, first-serve basis in GA. Please do not save seats in our General Admission section – make sure your entire party is present before finding a place to sit in GA. 

  • Can I reserve a table?

    FOR SHOWS WITH A RESERVED TICKET – purchasing a reserved ticket guarantees you a seat in our reserved section but does not guarantee you a table. Email ticketing@bellyupaspen.com for specific seating requests.  Upper tables are sold for select shows on a request basis via our website.  *****include link to web form for requests***

  • What time do doors open for a show?

    We usually open doors 1 hour before the start of a show. Remember that’s a “usually,” not an “always.” Check your ticket or our website to confirm door time.

  • When do shows start?

    Door and show times vary depending on the night’s line-up (how many opening acts there are, genre, what day of the week it is, etc.). Check our website calendar or your ticket face to find timing for a particular show.

  • How many people can the Belly Up Aspen hold?

    Our capacity is 450 for all shows unless it’s a seated show (325 capacity). 

  • Is the Belly Up Aspen handicapped accessible?

    Yes. If you need special assistance please email manager@bellyupaspen.com in advance. Please be aware that we have a limited number of accessible seats.

  • Can people smoke cigarettes in the Belly Up Aspen?

    We are a smoke-free environment. We do allow those 21 and over to leave and re-enter the building to smoke. Please see our security for a stamp before exiting the venue to prevent any issues upon re-entering. For those under 21, we are sorry, but for security reasons, we do not allow IN & OUT privileges.

  • Are there any special effects used?

    Depending on the show the following effects may be used: strobes, confetti, lasers and/or cryo.

  • Is there an ATM located inside of the Belly Up Aspen?

    Yes.  It is across from the main bar. When you enter the front doors, the ATM is located left along the wall, just after the coat check room.

  • Do you have a coat check?

    We offer coat check seasonally during the colder months via two coat check rooms to the left of the box office. We also offer coat check through the box office year-round.

  • Does the Belly Up Aspen allow audio and video taping? What about cameras?

    We do not allow video cameras. We do not allow audio taping or professional cameras unless specifically approved by the artist.  Email Manager@bellyupaspen.com for specific show approval. Flash photography is never allowed.

  • What can you bring into the Belly Up Aspen?

    Yourself and a purse.  We do not allow: outside food or drinks, backpacks or other large bags, etc.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Once tickets are purchased, we do not offer refunds or exchanges unless the show is cancelled.  Please treat your tickets like cash, lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.

    All dates, times and artists are subject to change. The venue and/or promoter may cancel an event or change the date at any time. A change in scheduled performers, date, time or location will not be considered a cancellation of the performance.
